Cheers mate, yeah I agree, some extra BHP would be nice but I’ll get used to it (I hope!).campbell wrote:I drove it when it was Murray's demo, lovely car...just 30-40bhp short of the perfect Elise unfortunately.
Great package overall though, and I'm sure you will enjoy.

We live in hope of a supercharger package (less likely with its big brother getting the treatment recently mind you). Alternatively you could have a word with Kiwirog at Sabre Heads. I held some initial conversations with him and he was up for some trials with the 1.6 head. Just needed to source one for him to play with first

Love the CR in any colour.. Wish I'd known otherwise I would have waited to buy one at the time..
I did the same thing coming from an Exige S to new base Elise almost a year and a half ago.. The power is one thing but the savings are REALLY noticeable and not being a track day person I don't miss the exige one bit. Far more useable on the average back road and equally entertaining.
Good luck with it.

Komotec do one. Circa £7k though. I had a thread on Seloc last week asking about the 1.6 in general, really like the look of the CR. 1.8 version of the same engine is around 150 bhp though....
Re: Elise CR, dark grey, Glasgow
Depends on the torques though, eh. Think the previous 1.8 S had better torque than the new bhp-equivalent 1.6. Hence interest in a charger, however £7k is a bit daft. Better off waiting until the latest 1.8 S (supercharged) loses some value in a couple of years...We have turned attention to the original 1.8 S models in our daydreaming now
