Leigh on M8

Post by ste7en » Mon Mar 26, 2012 10:39 am

Roof off the Exige, enjoying the beautiful weather on Sunday.

I was in the red Mini right behind you on the M8 west bound past the airport on Sunday afternoon. :wave

Cracking day for a drive, wish I'd been out in the Elise, but had to take the Mini down to my parents to do a wheel swap as I was still running round on winters tyres.

Yeh, have often thought about scratching the motorbike itch myself and have actually completed the CBT.

Thing is when we get weather like we did yesterday I always feel I'd rather be out in the Elise with the roof off and the wind in your hair than crouched over a sports bike dressed head to toe in leathers.

yes, u have appoint there....i mustn't grumble the loty is epic!..
bikes do look the business thou and i may just get one in the future......i have been on a few in my younger days and close mates who would give me backies.....must admit i did sh*t myself from time to time...... and you have to wait for a while before you stop shaking  ......also, back home in my little town in south Wales, there must be at least 5 fatalities in my area alone in the summer months, plus lost a few mates to bikes also, so you would think i would of learnt something  yet as you say, that itch...

We stopped for food in Strathyre on Saturday and I couldn't help eavesdropping on the group of bikers sitting next to us exchanging stories of the morning's near misses

Too many total numpties behind the wheel, with apparently no awareness of what's going on around them, for me to want to risk the biking thing :(

Doing the CBT was fun, but not convinced it's for me.

Bikes are ace. Mcape and i did 175 miles today and I'm still grinning!

We've only had our licences 3 years or so, happy to share experiences and costs if you want!
Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.

....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?
