Don't blame them, that was some weather - rain was torrential, wipers couldn't keep up and visibility was horrendous, 40 mph was about the limit and even then I was having to slow down at times for more flooded sections, I considered pulling in too but I thought there was probably even more risk from being stopped on the hard shoulder.
You really notice how low a Lotus is when it gets like that

M74 turned into its river status again last night with a few cars kissing the centre armco.
Boxster was aquaplaning all over for me to notice if my wipers were coping
.............and the roof was down as well for good measure!

That would be me.

Just left work and the rain wasn’t too bad but suddenly got worse and had to drive through a flood just before I got to the M74. Thought I got through ok but the steam coming in from the front of the car was so bad I couldn’t see where I was going.

Trundled down onto the M74 but thought it was too dangerous so pulled over to let the car tick over and get a towel out the boot of the car to clear the windscreen from the inside. A few other cars joined me there to break down (!!), so I was glad I got going again!

M74 was a nightmare – didn’t get over 30…..

Thought this was meant to be summer! :(

Yup, enjoyed my time in the CR but when the opportunity came up to get back into an Exige (higher spec than my last one) it was difficult to say no! :D
