Re: Kerry - In the Cayenne
ahhh, well obviously didn't expect to see you in that. What's the story behind the car. I've driven an e type once many moons ago and it wasn't great.
I thought I'd seen that car or one very similar parked beside the bridge at glen Tanner a few weeks ago, if it was you and you were near the river you would have heard me passing in the 12c.

Re: Kerry - In the Cayenne
From what I can gather (and I wont know until I meet the owner this weekend) its one of these period continuations, registered as a 1955 XK120, having looked at a load of pictures, it seems pretty darn accurate to an original,
Engine and drivetrain appear to be the right thing, but it has 3 Webber 45's and not the original SU's. pulls like a train and has a proper diff, it has ( I believe ) been used for some historic racing and feels very good to drive, having also driven an E-type a few year ago, I wasn't expecting much at all, but its a different beast altogether, I presume partly due to the fact it must weigh nothing as there really isn't much to it!
I will be using it over the weekend at RDSF, so give me a shout if you are over and ill give you a look around it - its lovely
Wasn't me at Glen Tanner, but there is a low drag E-Type locally that ive seen.

Re: Kerry - In the Cayenne
rolling burnouts going through a crowded Ballater was an absolute must do.
I admit that even I forgot about the cost of the car for a brief second due to having so much fun
