Kirknewton level crossing

Post by Robbie » Wed Jan 31, 2007 10:19 pm

Spotted a titanium S2 (I think - it was dark) heading towards Kirknewton tonight about 5:30 or so. Flashed lights - not sure if you saw me.

I remember a few years ago I had to shut the mains water off for the old station which is now 2 houses and the stopcock is about 3 feet away from the main railway track in the middle of the crossing. It took me ages to find it.

'Fraid so - it's all to do with vertical profiles, I couldn't lift the track any higher (which would have helped with the Up line bump) as it's too close to the platform.

It is crap I know - but hey, it's train friendly :D
