Wonder why the exige guy had removed his boot then?

Strange - Just thought it was the same configuration as the K and was for longer trumpets

Cheers

How fast do you expect the Esprit to go?? Lap time round knockhill for example.
I reckon once set-up is sorted and in the hands of a race driver then they'd have a good chance of sub 60.. but in my hands - then I'll be happy with mid 60s to start with. Steeeeeepp learning curve.. :? She'll be better suited to the wider tracks once aero sorted.. big wing needed for rear and much lower front splitter, canads and poss a diffiser for rear.

Speaking with racing team down south and my set-up was supplied by a guy called George Howard Chappal of Lotus GT1 in the 90s. It's the only set-up outside of a works car and should be good for 380bhp at moderate boost of say 1.25-1.4 bar (runs a 3 bar map sensor) but a few niggles between there and here - then stage 2 is to take the car up to over 400bhp over a period of time through Garry Kemp racing who has tuned cars to over 700bhp and 10,000rpm but I'm after an enduro engine to last one season between light rebuilds.

Spec will be similar to a 90's UK GT2 spec for those that recall.
Preparing for take-off.. systems check..

does the exige not have a small boot anyway. the few i've seen have tiny or no boots. All have modified engines though, so maybe its just that. Or he could be doing it to save weight.

Anyways, mine will have a full S1 boot, for helmets etc. Throttle bodies are still possible, but a S/C is a more reliable/cheaper option.

Depends a lot on what sort of times/data she can put down on the English circuits..

Most likely take her back into the 750MC Roadsports series or she did complete a couple of times in the AM Mid-Engined series tho the pace and budgets of those guys is pretty mind boggling. Quite fancy finding a classic 80's-90's series for 2008 as would be hard to get her to match the latest stuff as aero etc has come on quiet a way. She needs a bit of development - once I can trade blows with Nobles etc then I'll be happy enough. It'll take 2 yrs or so to develop her and raise enough cash for racing.. GTO 6 speed dog box might be next but should get power up to 400bhp after this season. :)

i might try a few rounds in the Yoko Mid engined series this year. Probably nearer the end of the year though. At the moment just want to get mine back and do a lot of trackdays with it.

I dare so i wouldnt be near the front, as the honda conversion takes me away from the standard production class, but i have spent nowhere near enough money to be up with the motorsport cars.

Yeah - the top end Elises are pretty amazing - it's the aero packages as much as the banzai engines..

Esprit was racing Elises etc with the big engine conversions, tho she can still get caught out on the twistier tracks - if you can get by 6' 3" of Esprit a**.

Yoko series sounds pretty cool - where r the rounds?
