Old sort of S1 shaped Lotus spotted

Saw it today on Byres Rd, looked a bit like an S1 , small and almost looked like polished metal (i.e. it wasnt painted) and the old boy driving it was smiling at me as I looked at him puzzled. :D Definately had a Lotus badge.

Any ideas?

BTW, I think they're already GF bodies not metal - not sure what the last metal bodied car was - you need the proper Lotus buffs for that ...
