:wavey

Haven't posted a spotted for a while, so thought I'd give a big up to the Bennett. Had a good giggle at the look on his face when he saw my wave turn to 'w@nker'

Drove past BB's house on the way home last night to see the Kyrptonite on the drive - no danger your missing that.

I will give you my view, the RS4 will bankrupt you in fuel, tyre and servicing costs!

Been running the engine in for the past few weeks so not allowed to go over 4,500 rpm, so I have really been looking forward to giving it full beans following the oil change ie 8-9,000K rpm  , and all I can say is farking hell this thing is bloody quick

Shirley not as much as my RS6 did - similar mill but with a brace of turbos, to really stick the nail in the fuel consumption coffin

Views?

Very comfy car with the Audi Recaros. Gearshift is quite short, and the throttle is hyper-sensitive. There is a wee delay on the throttle I guess I'm used to a cable operated throttle. Clutch is very, very nice though and it took about 2 minutes to get used to the setup.

The car itself is just stupidly torquey, I've never been so confused about what gear I'm in, and the car didn't seem to mind  I was doing the cockenzie bends (where I eventually saw Benny) I think in 5th gear the whole way! I was amazed to never actually feel the need to change gear... foot down, torque from 2k rpm all the way up to wherever the needle went! I didn't even press the 'sport' button on the wheel and it felt very hunkered into the tarmac. There were a few occasions when I though ambition far overtook talent and I thought I was going understeer straight on, but the nose just turned in, despite it feeling very heavy up front.

Suffice to say, there were some silly figures being touched on the speedo

18 mpg for that 40 minute test drive didn't seem too bad :)

Ah ok

(Excuse my lack of knowledge) but do S/C's work the same as the Yota engines with two cams?
