Orange S2 Exige - Agyle Street Sat afternoon

Post by Lazydonkey » Sat Jul 12, 2008 8:01 pm

Going down Argyle Street, speeding up and kicking into 2nd cam just as you passed Buchanan Street.

You know, the bit where everyone crosses on busy saturday afternoon?

Blasted past just as Shell (and a load of shoppers) were just about to cross the road.

Then, just to confirm it wasn't a one off, you then gave it full beans past me when i was sat at the lights on Queen street, on the corner of George Square.

I really hope you don't have an SE sticker on that car as I really don't want anyone thinking I have anything in common with you.........and you wonder why you get stopped all the time ?

:thumbsdown :knob

If it was a blue vx doing that kinda thing I'd certainly consider a respray - but maybe as you're the other side of the country u'll be ok

Saw the same Orange S2 Exige at the Hurlet last night just after 5pm... had a Police BMW X5 accompanying him - do you think this was just a coincidence??

That was a purly tongue and cheek no need to call for me to be banned or anything .....anyway if people are so concerned with having anything in common with other lotus drivers who drive in such manner , why bother to broadcast it all over the site for all the public to read , so they can frown apon every lotus they see from then on ?

Perhaps a more subtle pm to whom everis concerned would have been more appropriate providing you know who it was?

Were the lights on red? Or is there lights there? (Don't know Glasgow well....)

I hate people trying to cross when it's still on green

Take it easy out there Jamie - don't want to learn the lesson the hard way :thumbsup

Although its your car so doesnt matter what I say...

Does that really merit a reply? Just think about it. And read the charter perhaps.

bring instances of others' irresponsible or dangerous driving to their attention as soon as practicable and encourage them to think about it from the perspective of other road users and other group members.

I think the problem is the stage 2 .

I recall the exact occasion donkeys probably on about , at the end of argyle street were the road verges round to the left there are 2 sets of traffic lights.Guaranteed folk are always crossing if not at the first set , then at the set round the corner . Any one familar with city center will vouch for this .

9 out of 10 times when lights are at green you will still have to come to a complete stop to let the dozy barsteward cross the road.

I may have from frustration gave my car a little spurt and hit second cam in 1st gear , so thats what 30mph ?

Trust me I certainly dont go round city center at speeds well over the limit , I have too many points and cant risk any more .

So let me deal with the attention , I dont moan about it anymore Ive learned to deal with it .

As for nearly killing donkeys bird, thats just bollocks , Id suggest to pedestians that they cross at the designated areas , to avoid being hit more likely by a bus. And if too lazy to make the appropriate crossing then extra extra extra care and attention should really be taken .

Lazy donkey , if your mrs claims I "screamed" past her at the lights m8 then I am sorry but thats just a blatent lie.

:thumbsup

If anyone see's me nailing it in the city center feel free to perform a citizens arrest .......take my car home for me though eh ? and no booting it ! :)
