If it was between Aberfeldy and the A9 then that would have been me. Were you leading? I thought it was a 340r at the front....must have been dazzled by Alans ORANGE S1!

Craig leading, Alan next, then me and Jamie tail gunner. However as I did not see you, that must have been when we had a slight diversion in routes, one via Killin, one via Fort Bill.

They were off, but it started to rain when we stopped for lunch (well, most of did. Tut fanced a run to Forte William) so i put the roof on.

Have to say at no point were Me or Mike cold, wet, miserable with stones pelting of our heads from Craigs 340R.

I had my Lotus heated jacket on, and heater at medium, so was snug as a bunny in a big fat bunny hole.

Meant to take some photos of Jamie's car but the SD card was knackered. He ended up with a hole in a driving light, a smashed rear screen though fortunately it held together, and virtually no paint left on his front clam. Unfortunately he was behind me so I paid for his petrol. Thought that he would be really pissed off, but he was so chuffed with the run that he said fcuk it, now I am a real Scottish_Eliser. However his driving was impressive, stayed with us but took no chances and did not drive beyond his capabilities. Alan had twice his power, I had 2.5, but I kept the speed down on the straights and saved it for the bends.

As he had a seven hour drive down to Middlesbrough this afternoon, I put in my plastic rear screen for him, and he washed N3. Reckon I had the best of that exchange.

I was impressed with how well Jamie took the front clam peppering, taking the "it's there to be used" attitude. :thumbsup

You don't need oodles of power for a road run around the country. I don't sit in 6th all the time like Tut (enjoy going through the gears and pliping the throttle on down shifts), but very rarely accelerate as hard as the car can go.

Cheers
