Parked up at Royal Crescent, looking cool.
Re: Elise CR, dark grey, Glasgow
I see the one Murray's had has just been sold, perhaps that?
Re: Elise CR, dark grey, Glasgow
It did have a Murrays sticker in the back window. 11 plate.

Sounds like it then. They have a rather tasty looking yellow one in as a replacement now.

That would be me. Just picked up the CR after trading in the Exige last week.

Re: Elise CR, dark grey, Glasgow
It’s been a mixed bag so far!
Good stuff:
- Still under manufacturer warranty
- Stripped out cabin
- Facelift front clam
- Cheaper to run and tax in comparison to the Exige
Bad stuff:
- Haven’t quite got used to the drop in power yet. It’s fine when driving on back roads when out for a fun drive but when pulling onto a motorway it just doesn’t have the punch that the Exige did – I know this is to be expected so I just need to get used to it.
- Engine note a bit tame – stage 2 exhaust on order to sort this.
- The neighbours think it’s a Porsche
Also I’ve had a few probs with the dash. The light behind the speedo was off and it just would not change despite following the notes in the owners manual. Craig suggested another combo of button presses and the light came ok. I thought that was it sorted but after getting petrol last week the whole dash packed in, no speedo reading, no fuel reading etc. etc. Also when opening the door there is no warning buzzer if the lights have been left on but this was all working when I picked up the car.
So the car is going back to MMC on Monday for Craig to work some magic on it. As usual MMC have been more than helpful to get this problem sorted – I got an email from Craig around 8pm the other night to see how I was getting on with the dash – I had tried disconnecting\reconnecting the battery to see if that would reset the dash but no joy.
So it’s been quite eventful so far

Re: Elise CR, dark grey, Glasgow
I drove it when it was Murray's demo, lovely car...just 30-40bhp short of the perfect Elise unfortunately.
Great package overall though, and I'm sure you will enjoy.

Don’t do the usual Port Dundas route as much now since the new M74 link opened but as always I’ll be around Glasgow city centre causing trouble in the CR.
I had been looking at the CR on the MMC website for a while now and with the Exige needing new tyres, service etc. I decided to move on. The Exige was a brilliant car and I’m sad to see it go but things change.
