That would be me, working on the house again, getting there very slowly but surely!

Has Stewarton all of a sudden become the place to be ?

Scott, you need to find a Job closer to home that way you'll be finished quicker. Try Hyspec :)

House is miles away, roofs still being worked on, we bit the bullet and are going all out with UPVC all round, new gutters, chimney still needs rendered etc. that's before we begin inside with full rewire, full replastered of all walls and ceiling, new kitchen, new showroom, new floors and all painted so likely a wee bit of time yet. I notice we are just along from Exigeken who has popped his up for sale. Where abouts are you? I don't know stewarton very well!

Stewarton is the place to be! Ah it's not so much the time, it's the money I need double my salary to get it done quicker. For example holly would like a 2k range cooker for the kitchen, that takes a bit of time to save and do. I am trying to fund most of it myself, and only use a loan for last wee bit to get us in! I thought about taking more on the mortgage but essentially we want the house done with small(ish) mortgage and be comfortable so maybe short term loan would be better if I can do as much as I can with cash I save up each month and only take a small loan to do the showroom kitchen and flooring I would be happy.!

Ah you must be just up the road from us, we are across from the war memorial, the house with the scaffolding round it on the corner.

I know the one you mean now, you turning that side fence into a gate for offstreet parking? When do you think you'll move in?

There is a drive further along at the rear of the house, with the garage where we can park the cars. The small bit of fence I believe you are referring to was apparently put there to increase visibility when turning the corner which it doesn't. I would rather have the wall continuing but it's low on the priority list at the moment.

Our plan is to be in before Christmas and early if possible. I guess I just need to see how each stage progresses and check the availability of funds.
