Yellow S2 - in a bad way - Blackburn to Westhill

Post by jimbo » Sun Nov 08, 2015 11:58 am

Spotted by my mate and his missus, said that the driver looked ok but the car looked in a bad way. Recovery truck had arrived. Hope you're ok, and that the car is not too badly damaged.

Just spotted this, glad you're ok mate. How bad is the car?

Very sorry to hear this.

Unfortunately it's "mulch season" out there just now and even winter tyres won't save you from all the slime.

Take it easy!

I popped out to see the offending section of road, really muddy and like you say Campbell it had leaves everywhere. Very slippy!

I've started slipping around on them when out running. That's actually what brought it back into focus :-(

Lots of dry stone dykes and big lumpy verges on that road, not the most forgiving scenery.

Yeah, that was me:( the car drove out of the field and onto the truck so I'm hopeful that it is mostly cosmetic and nothing structural or mechanical. Body work took a beating though, damage to front, back and driver's side. At least it didn't happen any further on as I went into the field just before a big dry stone wall. Will post some pics of the car on the ABZ run thread in Meets.

Rotten luck! Glad you're OK! Saw the pic on the other thread and doesn't look too bad from a distance
