Could have been my son as his Z4 is off the road at the moment and he has been using my Elise, and was working up in Inverness

Guilty! Should have come to say hello... i was kicking around the garage for most of the morning.
Paul is a good biking pal of mine, was in for MOT (needed a bulb), then went for a 160 mile drive home, one of those, oh my i forgot how much i love this car drives. And my first ever 5th gear oversteer moment, wont be doing that in a hurry.
BTW... how did you know it was a 111s, its not stickered up...

Ah, I never knew. You looked like you were getting ready to shoot off when I came in about, plus I was on company time trying to get my car mot'd.istoo wrote:Guilty! Should have come to say hello... i was kicking around the garage for most of the morning.

Aye Paul's a good guy. That's nae too shabby, mines in in two weeks time hope it goes as smoothly! Those are the best kind of drives, where did you go? 5th gear oversteer, nope no thanks

111r's didn't start till 2004. Assumed yours was on the original reg, wasn't certain though due to wheels and lack of stickers, hence the question mark.

ah OK, youngish fellow who walked past whilst i was heading off? Gotcha.
I stay in Insch so took a hefty detour to the garage via cabrach, bridge of alford, glenkindie, Tarland, then banchory and in... then back via Aboyne... The scary moment was on the way too the garage, was a few degrees above zero sun had dried out one of my favourite sections of road, crested a long right hander going over the hill by Durris, one side of the hill was bone dry the other soaking wet, the back went for a walk. Wasn't violent, but the speed made it mildly nerve wracking. Car lightens up enormously there anyway. Still some poo may have escaped.
However, noted for next time.
Although yesterday was the day for it, i went to GT Scotland thing at Treehouse, was seriously damp... hope those who went for a run had a good un

Ah that's a tidy wee loop. I think I know the bit you mean, in the trees just before the straight if your coming from Banchory? It's often like that. I find the worst bit for it is the bit just before that the trees hold the water for ages, and sometimes there is water following across the road and you don't see it till your round the corner and it's too late.
My favourite bit is from the end of the straight to rickerton find it flows really well and you can exploit most of what the car has to offer.
How was it? I went to a couple of the GT Scotland meets last year always seem to attract a good Range of metal. I wold have gone but I left for holiday first thing on Sunday morning, see the next ones at Lamborghini Edin, not sure it's worth the commute.
