Orange 07 Elise - with L Plates!

A few days ago (probably wed/thurs last week) on Lothian Road about 5:40pm.
Were those L Plates for real
and how do you get insurance for a learner in a Lotus?

They WERE for real, I got rid of them yesterday!!
What car were you in? I sae a black Lotus up the top of Lothian Road - was it you?
And Insurance is steep, i'm 27 and the insurance cost £5K per year. I have now cancelled, and organised much cheaper insurance.

Did you sit your test in the lotus? I'd love to have seen the examiners face.
Unfortunately I was standing at the bus stop (can't take the car to work unless I cough up about £20 a day to park - I can think of better things to spend my money on).
What grabbed my attention first was your number plate - identical to mine except for the last letter (mine ends R).
Hope you enjoy having your licence. Just watch out for those speed cameras!
