Why lumping in VX with 135? - very different cars. If you're thinking VX, you should also give some S2's a gander. Figure out what it is you want the car for and then we can point you in the direction of what's best - an S1 135 and a VX220 are about the polar opposite of the Elise lineage... (that's not a dig at VX's BTW)

TBH, you're best bet will be trawling PH and the like and posting queries about the cars on here - we'll do what we can.
Not wishing to get a flaming, my preference would probably be for a VX (on my budget anyway), but gf is quite insistent on an elise, so the compromise is the S135 and 111s. Not actually been in a S135, but have been in a standard elise and a 111s and preferred the 111s out of the two. It is a weekend toy, so comfort is not overly important, just something i can enjoy hooning around the b roads in. And yes, i have been in a VX as well (both turbo and NA).

Yep, hourly trawls on pistonheads/autotrader/ebay etc etc do occur, and will be posting up anything i see for opinions...........

Open invite for a pax run. Any excuse for a quick blast.
Mk1 135 is quite a bit different to a 111s and the std car. Gives the 160's a good run for there money as well..

Do you live anywhere near Glenrothes.. pick a day that i am home and give me the nod. Oh and bring a jacket, I go topless.
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

See now, you missed the point of that.
At EF, I was blethering about taking some pics of Greg and how slow he'd been going. Turned out it was his girlfriend having a shot and she was right behind me when I said it.

me again.

Have seen something new, which just not fit any of the my above criteria, but is nice and near and looks to be a good price.

Apparently has been in for a fibreglass repair (at murray motors) at some point when some damage was caused around the sill. Just had a service, but not had a C service yet. Disks will apparently need to being replaced.

I think i came across as fairly knowledgable with questions about colour of interior and radio  .

Way over my budget as well, which is nice.

He is based in Dunfermline just in case anyone recognises it.

If it's way over your budget then it might not be best to go for it as it's needing a C service and you'll need to allow for the cost of that plus anything that needs doing. It does look a pretty good price tho
