Personaly i didnt like how you could see the blue parts , I considered painting them black .

To be fair there has been equally rediculous post on here about altering the cars appearance , but I think its allowed , so long as your post counts above 1k. :thumbsup
I am quite into how cars look. Like to have little suttle changes made. ALthough there will not be anything major done to my exige I have a few sutle touches I would make to it just to customise it a bit but I doubt brake pads would bother me, how the hell did you notice them? once calipers are on surely you cant see them?

:welcome

I've been on holiday and just back.... Can't say i've bothered to read the whole 10 pages of this post  but IMHO (as I've had 3 Elises - All S2's - and I'm now driving an S2 Exige) the S2 seems like a lot easier to live with on a daily basis and will be a lot more reliable (sorry guys but its true). However the S1 Exige looks brilliant and they are a lot rarer...

I've just turned 21 and my insurance is £1300 with 3 accidents on my record.

If I was you I'd get an Elise first.... S1 you could pick up for 7-8K and S2 you could get for 12-13K. Get used to driving it as it will be a HUGE difference to the Puggit - and then chop it in for an Exige (s1or s2) over the winter months when they are usually a bit cheaper.

Oh and I better add that none of the accidents were in a Lotus...

Thanks for the input again I believe next year I will be able to weight it up more once I know my financial situation. It will be a huge difference and should have mabye took a step up but there was nothing I really fancied. I would obviously be really careful with it always even when I get used to it. I should be ok on insurance, I have no fault accidents, clean lisence and have been driving just over 4 years so by next year hopefully all will be good. If I am able to spend what buys an exige I most likely will go for that rather than an elise but if I cant quite afford it I will go elise then exige

I'm sure you will be mate :thumbsup Until you get an open road then you won't be able to resist

Don't worry I know the feeling...! I was like that before I bought my first Elise but then just thot f"ck it and went for it.

Now I'm on my 4th Lotus so definitely got the bug.

Sure you will make the right decision when you can afford to :thumbsup

I was exactly in your position this time last year scott . Constantly thinking bout getting my lotus , it was all that occupied my mind. Constantly browsing forums... the wait was agonising to say the least .

Now the novilty has worn off ...kinda....but it can still bring a smile to my face on a back road.
