Scottish Europa

Post by tom77 » Tue Jul 15, 2008 9:17 pm

Hi all,

Picked my Europa S at the weekend (can I still be a scottish-elises member? :) ). I have upgraded brakes and a 235 bhp thorney ECU remap. Thought you might appreciate a few pics...

Welcome aboard Tom, and though it has a roof on, it is a very good looking car.

Very worthwhile upgrades as well with the ECU and brakes.

We had a very dear friend on here with the same spec, but a different colour, so you are more than welcome.

Car looks great - was quite tempted by it myself when I saw it on Pistonheads ads.

Looks good in silver! I've still yet to see one anywhere other than the Murray showroom...

Cheers for the responses all.....

I just posted but hit submit rather than preview and the post doesn't show? Am I doing summat wrong?

Anyway, I said something like this.....

Still learning the car but so far I can say :

Good - Power, grip, looks, well put together, usable - i.e. good cruiser as well as mad hotrod! :D

Bad - Engine note - truck-like at idle and washing machine-like at full bore, flatspot in the powerband at 4k.......that all!

Another Europa owner was mentioned. Do we know how many of us are up here north of the border?

Cheers,

Tom.

Very mixed reviews of the TMS maps in the vx world, although it's got to be better than the standard map with a hoooooge hole in it.

if it REALLY bugs you courtenay sport would be a good place to visit :thumbsup

Interesting. I was under the impression the Thorney re-map was developed to eliminate the flatspot, until i drove it.....

Courtenay you say? Hmmmmm........*scratches chin*......
