Racing Instructor

Post by sarahp » Mon May 22, 2006 11:11 pm

Hi Guys!

I was told about your site by Neil and I've met a few of you up at Knockhill already. I work as a self employed Racing Instructor - mostly at Knockhill due to geography - and I race in the UK Formula Ford Championship.

I've instructed for several Lotus owners either on Tracknights or in a one-to-one hour long lesson and I'd be more than happy to get more involved with the Scottish Elises crowd as a couple of your members have asked me if I could do more instruction for them.

I've been racing since the age of 12, when I started in karts at Raceland of all places! I moved into Formula Ford at Knockhill in 2003 and I was voted Scottish Young Driver of the Year in 2004 before graduating to the UKFF Championship. I'm planning on racing with last years top team, Jamun Racing, from the Snetterton round onwards this season.
I've been working as an Instructor for over 2 years now, including manufacturer work for SEAT and Skoda and I'm one of the "regulars" at your favourite Fife circuit. I've raced most of the UK tracks too if anyone needs any help with any of them: Donington, Brands, Silverstone (national & GP), Oulton Park, Croft, Thruxton etc.

Think thats all anyone could ever want to know about me lol My website is http://www.bwr-spiderweb.com if anyone wants to check it out.

Thanks - Sarah Playfair

Will you make it along to the Mexi Towers event at KH?
Fri 9th June 1pm-5pm?

To be clear, are you advertising your instruction for cost?
I know you have to earn a living but would say, 5 laps of instruction at the above even cost anything?

Thanks for getting involved with SE

As was posted before in the other thread (I think!), Sarah was proposing 20 minutes in the car for £20, which I thought was pretty reasonable.

iagree, thats the same as all the english tracks use. only differnece is walshy was subsidised last year by LoT, so he was a tenner, but this year i believe he'll be charging 30 quid. so 20 quid is ok.

Yeah, quite reasonable.
