I don't get nearly enough time to go through all the new posts that I would like, I like to see the new members coming in and becoming active, posting members. It is great when they turn up to the first road run. SE is a fantastic place to be and get involved with. There is a core of long term members who can give excellent advice and are always willing to help.

I would like to welcome all of you to this fantastic little community, it started out a reasonably small little group and has steadily grown into a nationally recognised forum with mention on Lotus Central etc. It is the Scottish equivalent of Seloc, hopefully without the bad points..

There are varying interests within SE, some like to polish, some like to race, some like road runs and some kind of mess around on track days when they get a chance. The demographic is wide and varied. (my God Victor used a big word) and there is always, always, always a certain amount of good humoured piss taking.

The trick to enjoying SE is not to take it too seriously, not to take yourself too seriously, not to take anyone else too seriously.. accept that everyone is different and have the right to be that way.

There are drivers who will be quicker than you, there are drivers who never ever ever ever break the speed limit ever even once... (yer baws) just dont get upset when you find out you are not as good a driver as you thought, it was a real shock to me.. it has taken four years of practice with professional tuition to get even close to some of the driving Gods we have on SE. And I still have a very long way to go.

You have one of the best handling cars on the planet, it takes years to get the best out of it, take your time and learn it without throwing it in a ditch in the first six months.

If you see me about, give me a wave. I don't bite, I can be grumpy but that is because I'm getting old, so that's allowed.
