Hi from an Aussie newbie

Post by krypton » Thu Jan 24, 2013 6:03 pm

Hi,
I am currently living in Tillicoultry (near Stirling), where I intend to base myself (and family) for the next six months or so. I have moved over from Australia (Newcastle). I own a S2 Exige in krypton (hence the username) with a few mods. Unfortunately it's still in storage in Australia. I'd love to purchase another Lotus while I'm over here, but unfortunately I won't be here long enough to be able to take it back. I found my way here through robin (thanks). I also have the username of krypton on aussieelises (if anyone else is also on there). I have owned my car for 4 years. It is used mainly as a weekend/track car. Looking forward to meeting some Lotus loving Scottish people.
Regards
Michael (aka krypton)

Thanks, just going through some of the photo's on the forum, looks like there are a few other krypton cars on here. It's good to see, there are less than 10 in Australia.

Welcome to Scottish Elises.

There are normally a couple of meets and a regular monthly meet (normally the 1st of each month) so more than welcome to come along and introduce yourself in person. Not heard anything about Feb's meet so don't know if its happening?

I think someone was thinking of renting out their S2 Elise which may be a good alternative? Maybe best to do a search if you are interested.

Every Elise in Scotland is the only one of it's kind (or at least the ones sold by Graeme when he was at MMC  )

Thanks for all the welcomes. Def interested in attending a meet and greet. I'm on holidays for the whole time I'm here, so have plenty of time on my hands. I had a search for people wanting to rent their elise on SE's, but couldn't find anything, so if anyone knows anything about this, I would be interested. The best I could find (on the general net) were sports car rental type companies and track day rental (which is an option), but most seem to be based around London. Any info appreciated.
