Don't think they are limited production but you would possibly need to wait for a build slot if you wanted a new one rather than dealer stock.

That looks really nice :love and Scott Walkers is a well respected dealer so I don't think you would go far wrong with that. :thumbsup

Edit to add: make sure you are happy with a basic lack of frills car and don't expect it to be a rocket especially compared to your VXR it might be lacking in torque. A great introduction to open top rwd motoring and cheap to run but only hot hatch fast.

Won't be buying this one as I need to get my current car sorted before handing it back (bonnet respray, alloy refurb, new tyres...£££) and trying to get my motorbike sold but once this is all done I can start to seriously see what's out there. Hopefully they're not limited production as you say!

Ref my edit above - if you are used to bikes too its not going to feel especially fast.

Fair point, I'll probably compare it to the Porsche more than the vxr tbh although I'm hoping the overall feel good factor of driving a 'go kart' will offset the lack of speed!

Although the 1.6 isnt going to win the traffic light GP it is arguably one of the better versions for it unadulterated pure driving experience. A lot of owners prefer the original S1 Elise and the 1.6 is the closest to that ethos - lightweight, modest power and not hindered by driver aids. :thumbsup

So long as we have a cheap rounaround for practicality I'll enjoy the no frills elise!

Within the sub £25k price bracket, there isn't much new/nearly new with under 10k miles which catches my eye any more. I remember when so many manufacturers' performance models really stood out from the rest of the range, now too many look just plain boring ;-(
