New S2 Owner.

Hello all,

After wanting an Elise since i first laid eyes on them i finally got round to having my own. Its an Elise S2 111S. Picked it up this week from Basingstoke then drove it all the way back to Edinburgh to its new home.

Its had a lot of goodies put onto it by the previous owner including brake upgrades, wheels, body parts, exhaust, cammed and mapped motor and many more.

So far I'm delighted with it, being an ex-kart racer the car really suits me and i was amazed by its handling!

Your car looks like it is sitting quite low in picture two, what suspension has it got?

Cars been setup on nitron suspension I believe and lowered a further 10mm. There is a massive amount of receipts of work done I need to file through! It's got 6 pot calipers on the front and the yellow stuff lads which I was recommended to remove as they aren't the best for road use. Already looking on Elise sites for bits and reading up!

Dads car is a carerra 4 which he put gt3 kit onto recently! Nice clean car!

And hi stu I'm doing the odd driver coaching sessions but not so much spannering as I'm busy with work. You ever up at larkhall these days?

Welcome to Sottish_Elises Martyn, we are doing well for new members lately.

6 pot fronts? Probably a record on here for an Elise, I have a S/C Honda and 2 pots. With those calipers you could put blotting paper in, but would recommend Pagid RS 4-2's or 14's, with Carbone Lorraine RC5+ as an alternative.

I've been looking at the Honda conversion aswell as a s/c for that standard engine, maybe something for the future

Was talking to someone today who told me you had a Elise, I remember selling you your 1st kart remember the red devinson from Hamilton. Martyn was very fast in a kart so should be a natural at KH. Im on Lotus leave for a while but hope to bump into you again in the future. Say hi to your dad. Ian

Yes i remember the devinson! 1992 chassis in Honda junior! Will tell my dad you said hello and will see you at the race track sometime!
