Peck555 - our farest flung member?

Post by GregR » Mon Sep 18, 2006 7:27 pm

Cross posting this for Greg (not my alter ego!) from the 'where'd you hear about S_E' thread :D

HI! Name's Greg,started with lotuses in 1983 with my first Elan(1964,RHD,DHC) then 3 years later I bought a 1965 Elan(RHD,DHC).
I was probably the only bloke around New York state that had 2 RHD Elans cluttering up his garage, one running as my daily driver and one "under restoration".
When I first read about the Elise back in the '90's I wanted one in the worst way,but it wouldn't happen until Lotus finally got off their collective duff's and finally sent the Elise over to our side of the pond.
I bought my Laser blue 2005 111R in March of 2005,and it would have many more mod's if I had a bit more cash in the old bank account.
So,that's me in a nutshell,I've loved Lotuses for a long time, both Elans are now gone ,but I have the best little sportscar a man could want.
Cheers,
Greg

Cool, I was in NYC last November, loved the place. My cousin stays in wilton, Connecticut so I had to drive there from JFK. Sadly it was in a sh*t Chevrolet heap of a hire car so didn't do much driving but some of the roads up there looked good fun :)

We had a drive 2 weekends ago through Hariman park/Bear mountain state park, lasted 3 hours...loads of twisties :drive , plus some nice "higher speed sections",we had a great time, and then a BBQ back at my house.

We did the same thing the year before only in Connecticut, some very beautiful twisty roads.
So yes we have some nice roads in my area :thumbsup
