New Elise S Owner

Post by S6GGO » Sat Dec 14, 2013 7:20 pm

After posting a couple of months ago that I was on the lookout for an S2, I have finally got myself one. I would like to thank all the guys for the offers of checking their cars out before buying one, unfortunately work has been very busy lately and with a house move time has not been readily available to me. So apologies for not getting in touch.

So, I ended up going for a 2008 '57' Elise S in grey (I'm sure somebody will be able to tell me the specific colour name). It has 19k on the clock with only 2 previous owners. The latest owner had it for 3 years and only done around 3k miles in it. It also has a hardtop and a trickle charger fitted.

The downside is that I don't collect the car until the 8th January as I am working away until then, but I'm flying straight back to London to collect the car and drive up to Dumfries that evening.

Cheers,

Steve

Christmas will indeed come in January. Yes, it looks like it could be Graphite Grey.

Tut, I wish I was able to have the car in my lounge!

Robin, you're right, I really cannot wait!!

Lewis, looking forward to a blast and a catch up in the new year.

young_bairn, glad you found a car yourself. I really can't wait, but I'm missing Christmas this year due to work so picking the car up will more than make up for it!!

So I collected the car on the 8th January......Amazing!!!

I collected it from East Sussex and drove it up the road that night, eventually getting home at 6am on the 9th January. The drive was horrendous, the weather was shocking, I made plenty of stops for coffee and just to look at the car. It is stunning.

I've not had too much opportunity to get out in the car since collecting it, but I made every effort that I could and was careful in the poor weather conditions. Got one dry day and got the roof off, what an experience.

I just cannot stop smiling everytime I get into the car, back at work for 4 weeks now though so no smiles for a while!
