Thanks, yes thats why i went for a cheaper early car, couldnt see the point in paying top dollar for a minter if i was going to track it, im going to get some tuition first though :thumbsup

Im still anal with cars though so i will probably be sad enough to get the front sprayed to take the chips away even though they will go back on

Can you guess ive no idea how to do the mutliple quotes
Good skills - if you do want it resprayed at the front I've a good contact, well through Ali at SLS. He did mine.

As for tracking it - liking that chat too - have a safe run down the road :thumbsup
Thanks, im going to contact Ali soon anyways so i can take the car there should anything need done

Does anyone have a rough idea on how much its costs to spray a front clam?

I got the AA parts and labour for £45 for the remainder of my AA cover (july 09) so i think should anything need done they will tow it to a garage of my choice to get the work done?

I don't know how much for a front clam but Jimmy next to Ali was looking for about a £1000 for a whole car ~new colour so would guess about £300 and he does a good job spraying from the couple I've seen and Steve Walkker in Bathgate was looking for £3500 for a comparison

Wow im impressed with £1000 for a full car, im going to be speaking to Ali shortly so i will ask him about the front clam price, there is a family member who does an excellent job but he is always busy so would be waiting a while to get it done and probably miss the summer

Thanks for the reply :thumbsup

Ive also just check my work rota and im off for the July camping 05/07/09 so im going to stick my name down

p.s cant stop looking out the window and grinning, my neighbours must think im nuts, im restisting the urge to take it out again...

That may take several years to wear off, Donna. Tell your neighbours to get used to it :-)

Are you coming to the Donington weekend, btw - 17th to 19th April? Great opportunity to soak up the Elise thing amongst many like-minded individuals...and lots more besides (generally alcohol, to be fair...)

Very good. The camping will be just as entertaining an introduction. Need to look into that myself, actually...

My point exactly.......You guaranteed me success with German/Belgian barmaids by luring me into sharing a room with you..... teaching me the sacred art of storytelling with an imaginary steering wheel :drive
I hasten to add the alternative was to share a room and a very warm toilet seat with sh*tzophrenic Ali
