I have been enjoying, been out every day in it so far, sometimes twice or three times a day just for the hell of it

If not went fast or round corners fast yet, im still too scared

I was hoping for a run up to the trossachs today if the weather was good but it was cloudy and damp all day, typical day off weather.

Im hoping to get it cleaned over the weekend and take some pics :thumbsup

Just wish id bought an Elise years ago :cheers

Congratulations Donna on admitting that you are a double twat, but it looks like you are going to put that right in the near future.

Let us know when you are ready to start looking, and we will help you out.

Hey, you weren't to know that was going to happen with the hours. That stuff happens.
It's probably one of the reasons I got rid of my yellow one... I thought my hours were about to be cut from 37.5 per week, down to zero. Didn't happen, but needed to make sure I was sorted if it did.

At least you are in a position to rectify it :thumbsup

been on a bit of a 'should i sell or keep' rollercoaster for a while now.
mine doesnt get driven half as much as it should - even less now that Im working away 3+ days a week in Englandshire.

however, sense always kicks in thinking about the odd day I do get to take it out and how great it is.
New years resolution is to drive it more, bring it down to the 'kiss me quick' capital and aim to do more SE meets/ trackdays in 2010.

Hope you get behind the wheel again in the near future.

Hi Donna, I completely understand where you are coming from!

Pre engine conversion and restoration Alan and I had on a number of occassions decided to sell the car for various reasons, but each time, we just couldn't bear to part with it! Each time we drove to a car garage to trade it in for something else, we'd all of a sudden realise how much we'd miss it and if we sold it, we'd just buy another one soon enough anyway, so we'd just turn back home!

Unfortunately in your situation, sometimes things like cars (especially ones which aren't the cheapest to run) have to be changed to suit. I'm so glad to hear you got your hours back, and hope that you find the right car again!

I have the "keep it" dilemma at the moment as well. Gladly, my decision is considerably eased by the fact I'd have to spend so much on it to get it in a saleable condition, it'd not be worth the effort.

They do make a helluva lot more sense when it's not cold and you don't have to shiver through the first 10 minutes of your drive somewhere, peering through a porthole in the windscreen fog. I'm sure the love for mine will return when I've fixed a few niggles and we get back to the weather where you can get away with pressing on a little.
