Keep your coat on, wear some favourite driving gloves, and only ever clean the inside of your windscreen with a damp clean chamois, and you'll be fine!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not dumb enough to actually do it. It's just when it's damp and 2 degrees outside and you need to bleed the clutch, it's trying on the old patience... I think it's just that it's a c**t to work on - totally changed brake calipers and bled in the space of 20 minutes on the bike at the weekend.

See, I might change my mind about ever getting a bike if this is the sort of wooftery it brings out in you.

Quick update on me

Hoping to be back in the Lotus Club soon, as you can tell from my previous posts, work was a bit of an issue for me last year, after getting back on my feet towards the end of the year and proper hours again ive now changed career again and start with the police at the end of February so only got a weeks notice left to work then its on to pastures new.

Im looking forward to doing a job ive always wanted to do and have a bit more free cash to spend on myself again!

Just hope Lotus ownership will be acceptable for my new employer, might need to keep a sensible car for commuting in.

Anyways i start training the end of February so it wont be until nearer the summer time i will be seriously looking but it feels great to have a positive outlook financially again

Hopefully see you all at KH soon again :cheers

p.s with old age setting in (28) i may go soft and go for the S2 this time :damnfunny

Big coincidence Donna, you bought Chris's car as he thought it was not compatible with his job.

Good luck with the new job - I think choice of car could be influenced by where you end up stationed and what the gaffers are like. If it's close to your own area or there isn't secure parking a hack for commuter duties might be wise.
Good luck with the search when the time comes.
