Yes I post on strathy now and again! J44MMA I spoke to a few weeks ago in town at the lights at queen street seemed pretty decent.

To be honest I am more for looks first then performance, I want something reliable and probs something that could be used as a daily driver if the peugeot has to go. I would rather get something a bit newer with less miles than something that was a bit more powerful. Dont get me wrong it is the power from the 1.8 engine and how agile the exige is that attracted me to it, but I love the looks and the presence it has on the road.

I guess I will be able to be more acurate next year when I qualify and see what job I am offered. Most of the apprentices are on 21k-23k when time out so I am hoping I shall be around the same and then some calculations will be needed on fianances to see what I can stretch to.

I was behind your car on St Vincent street the other day, I think I see it doing many laps of the city centre

I have had both S1 and S2 Exiges and they are very different. Have you been out in any yet? I dont know how you can say without trying them.

I was about £900 for my insurance on the s2 exige at 22, and philthy pays £650ish for his s1 exige and he is 22 so I know they cant be insured cheaper.

Anyway, welcome along, just dont do a deano and take too long :thumbsup
Yeah normally go in town to catch up with my mates and have a browse about, not much of a drinker myself would rather pop some disel in and go a wee drive. Yeah your are right its all gut feeling and what I prosume to be better. I guess thats part of reason I have signed up to get better knowledge before investing in the exige. I guess over the next year I can make a more informed decision on what is better. Its trying to find people with an exige to take you out aswell I have only seen a few around glasgow. J44MMA orange one, there is a blue one kicking about and there was a white 57 plate one last year but I havnt seen that in a good while.

I have a silver S2 Exige N/A with no nancy boy traction control, talent masking supercharger or air con (ie the one you want) just give me a nudge if you want a pax lap.

I would love that mate would be great. I was up knockhill last Sunday and seen a few with the supercars. There was 2 s1's booting about and an silver s2 and I think a purple/blue elise. The exige and the atoms excited me more than the supercars lined up to be honest!

What is on tomorrow then, whats the entrance fee?

Its mechanical engineering, I work for Weir Pumps in cathcart in Glasgow. Is now known as CLyde pumps since Jim McColl bought us over. I will qualify as a business technician. What basically happens is I train 6 mths in EK in milling turning fitting CAD maintance etc, then come up to Weirs do a year on shop floor in assembly and fitting and then the rest of my 4 year apprentiship in offices moving around the areas, draughting, CAD and solidworks, design, sales and marketing, custom engineering, service and spares etc. When your times out you can be offered a position in any department and this is where you will grow your skills. For instance I could become a draughtsmen or a sales engineering or a hydraulic design engineering depending where I am offered and also where I fight to get in myself.

If your wanting to see variety you'd be best placed to come along to knockhill on June 8th. Will be the largest gathering of Loti :)

Ahhhhhh they looked and sounded lovely guys. I was hanging over the fence drolling over them. I seen you and a girl jumping in and driving off as I was hanging over was going to shout you over and have a chat but you looked in a rush so didnt bother. I stood at the hairpin though and watched in amazment you all on track. Was pretty funny seeing the exiges lapping the supercars. Also how settled and agile the looked throught the corners compared the others. The ultima GTR's where impressive too, flames bursting out one at every corner!
