Jon mate, some people want a Lotus and not a Vauxhall - yes it's basically badge snobbery, yes, it's basically the same car, but there you go.

He don't want one, which is fair enough - this is a welcome thread after all 8)

Don't get a hard top - every new Lotus owner thinks they need one - you just don't :thumbsup

YEah its better than the other one you post, remember probably movement in the price get him down a bit. For the extra grand though its 45,000 miles less on engine, not damaged, its MOT'd which should mean theres not majorly wrong with it, that other one was a bit of a gamble. Phone up though have a wee talk to the guy worth asking whats works been done on it, parts replaced, last service etc. All stupid wee things do add up. e.g. If a C service is due soon its a good bit of cash you got to budget for, if the tyres are worn badly might be an extra £400, if the tax is ready to run out £185........you get my thinking :thumbsup. Just ask about the points on that sheet I send you over get as much info as possible out the guy, cause think its a good bit down south, probs better flying down if you were going to look at it.

I am not sure what I am doing tonight, got to jump overs to Mac's with something then I am not sure. Ill give my mate a wee text and see, might head in if you want a wee look!

Guy off here showed me round his car at the speedfair and it makes a big difference because you can see what the look for and gives you an idea of the car and condition etc. He very kindly pointed out all the various things to keep an eye out for. I did notice at speedfair the condition of the cars varies greatly so its good to get an idea what kind of condition of car you can get for your money :thumbsup
