Wonder if it was you I shared a :wave with a couple of weeks ago on both the Saturday and Sunday out Airth/Skinflats direction ? I was with another (red) S2 Elise on the Saturday if it helps jog any memories.

Think I might have seen you in Livingston a couple of weeks ago, around the Eliburn area.

thanks for the welcome folks, I'm afraid I have no news about the car to share, the garage are ominously silent :( I'm going to try and stay patient and not write off the old mx5 i have borrowed in the meantime...the last couple of days have been a laugh....dodgy weather + unmatched budget tyres = increased laundry.

wooohooo got the car bacl last night and seems to be fine.

needed a coil pack and a new distibutor cap, everything done under warranty and despite being a wee bit slow I'm pretty happy with the garage's response. Throttle was sticking for a few miles after picking it up, which it had never previously done but that soon cleared up and seems ok now.

I look forward to posting about something other than sympathy seeking reports of my breakdowns.....hmmmm maybe shouldn't tempt fate

throttle could be the placcy throttle body - they only last so long before they stick.
