Hi Donna, welcome to Scottish_Elises. Firstly regarding colour, I have two early S1's, Azure blue and yellow, but blue is my favourite colour in the range.

As regards S1 or S2, it is purely a personal choice, though you can get one for a few thousand less than the other. S1's are now down as low as £5K, so you would get a very good standard one for £7K. However general advice would be to go up from the standard 118hp to a 135, 111VVC, or 111S.

S2's are now down to £9K, this looks a nice one, http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/850748.htm but again a standard 118hp. This may be all you want, but once they start tracking, most owners start looking for more power. Remember all the prices you see are hopeful ones in todays climate, and you should always be able to knock the asking price down.

I would probably buy this if I did not already have two. I know David Brown from way back, and he does not skimp on money when he upgrades his cars. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/717602.htm

Hi Tut, thanks for the post :thumbsup

It was the stanadard powered car i was looking at really, how much does the 135 etc cost? in the ads im finding it hard to tell the difference between the models.

I can see the point though about upgrading once youve been on track, thats what usually happens with me and cars so i will take that on board.

Im trying to get an average price for a good S1 and good S2 as 118hp models and then i will look at the faster models.

Thanks for all the help so far, and offers of pax laps, its very kind and its a nice welcoming site you have here :thumbsup

Donna :cheers

B&C is Bell & Colvill, dealer performance upgrade.
e.g.

Don't know the yellow car but looks std 118bhp model right down to the std air filter.

Looks in lovely condition Donna, doubt if you would go wrong with that if the mechanicals are as good as the bodywork/interior.

It is a standard car with 118hp, and the C service which costs around £500 has been carried out. However if it came to buying, offer £7.5K max.

Similar to mine, except for the supercharged Honda engine.

And the blue one.
