Well that's all five of the family on here now, so a good job that I am normally nice to them when I post.

Cal

I sent the ECU away and had it re-mapped to 275hp. Chap did a great job, smooth as silk with better fuel consumption, and kick in the back in 2nd and 3rd, with better overtaking in the higher gears. And for £99 instead of his usual £300.

That would of been when dad tracked it, apparently it goes pretty well. Had a porsche up my arse on the way to wrok today. Pretty pointless seeing as traffic wasn't going faster than 40mph and was choka block, maybe thought i was a female hairdresser i guess, haha.
I was asking dad when the next knockhill day was, he didn't know and the earliest day i could find was in July. It's just so i can get a chance to get a feel for the car. So was wondering if any of you guys knew? Going from the Focus to the TT is quite a jump so would really like a chance to get used to the car and track is probably the safest place possible.

Scotty, if you could post that pic that would be great, i'm in need of a new screensaver.

Cheers

This is what you need, young man:

Also look in Track Days forum generally as others on here organise the occasional event too.

The SIDC events are great because John usually manages to have an instructor on hand for free, and believe me just a few laps with them can make the difference between binning it on your first outing and driving the car home in the condition it arrived in! And later, of course, it can be worth a couple of secs per lap but obviously WE DON'T TIME OR COMPETE BECAUSE IT IS ONLY A TRACK NIGHT ;-)

Cheers Campbell, i'll try for the SIDC in June then, yea i remember the rules from when i went on track in dads. i'll just be driving to my ability and get used to the car. an instructor session sounds a really good idea though, so i'll deffinately go for that given the oppertunity.

Thanks Andy, i will try but this is tut were speaking about, it's not a possible feat to make him behave. Although to the best of my knowledge he's been a good by recently, but there is plenty i don't know about. police havn't been round for him in a while though, haha.

Oy newbie, sort your spelling and punctuation out, I have a reputation to uphold.

You can always go back and edit it afterwards, or check it before you hit the submit button. I do not want them to think that I skimped on your education.

tut

ps no, but they were around for you last week and on Sunday. Lucky for you that I am a straight faced liar.
