I've no idea the owner wasn't around to find out anymore about the car, it had cream leather S1 Elise seats that suited it. Heres another pic.

That's gotta be the V8 (one-off homebrew special) The bodywork was exactly like that, even down to the wheel style. Not my taste, but no arguing with the grunt (I seem to remember 1100kg and 450/500bhp being bandied about) 8)

My 1999 T reg does exactly the same when driven hard for a good few hours. I think the advice I got pointed to the rear toe links. OE Lotus are the cheapest IIRC (??) but the Eliseparts upgrade is recommended. (I've yet to do anything about it but they can fail which aint nice.
Also have a 1968 Europa S2 which gets out VERY rarely (new chassis and R16 1565cc engine but body rather iffy).
Sweet 8)

I like this one. :)
All characters appearing in this post are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.
Any references to laptimes, speed or driving on the public highway are purely for dramatic effect.

Shug don't know if that's a V8. It's on the Duke 'Lotus - Best of British' DVD and the owner doesn't mention it being a V8 IIRC - in fact now that I'm looking for the DVD I can't find it. Mac, Mandy, Monica & I all saw this car at Mount Stuart a few years back. The owner, a woman by the name of Nina Boys takes the car to events and her and her hubby take folks on short pax rides in exchange for donations to charity.

The DVD has another guy who has a Ford V8 in his. He says he's an instructor at one of the circuits down south and that the Europa handles beautifully.

Cheers,
Z.

Now where did I put that DVD??????????

I've got the same DVD and I'm sure that it's the V8 body (which I thought he'd done as a one-off) It's definately blue in the DVD.

Having said that, I stand to be proven wrong!
