No ownership yet. Phonecall update from Brandon today was that his spies found my car hadn't even made it out of paint. So what with the festive shut down it'll probably be a birthday present in January instead of a Christmas present. Still it means I've got more time to finish the garage.
Will see what I can get back by way of recompense for the delay.

When I visited the factory last month, probably the most impressive thing was the way they now review, audit and correct the paint and panels on the car. I understand it's causing the odd delay but the results looked very much worth the extra effort.

Fair enough, and I'd hope they were keen on QA. However, my build week was due to be week 46 (w/c 11th November) which would have put delivery about 10 days later apparently. Then I was told it had slipped a little to week 49 / 50 (w/c 2nd December / w/c 9th December) which could have put delivery just before Christmas. Now due to another delay and Christmas close-down (fair enough), I'm looking at probably early / mid January.
Doesn't seem like an 'odd' delay, except that I'm held up behind someone else's order obviously. Unless they can't find the brown paint!

It's great that Lotus have a waiting list/build queue .... when I bought my first Elise I think it was about a year!!! And the car was a bag of spanners when it arrived
BTW, from your description I didn't think I would like the colours, but the pic you posted looked great. The S is the car to get, IMHO (in terms of all round use/VFM ... not sure about outright performance, but it'll be more than fast enough, I am sure).
Cheers,
Robin
