Well...what a day!

The car is fab - better than I had hoped for!

Still trying to master getting in and out without making a complete ass of myself...but hey!! I don't care :D

Andy has just washed and chamoised it off and it's sleeping in the garage! Gets it's Supaguard in the morning!

Have been offered a used Magnex for £80...year old.....tempted but unsure so advice appreciated

I may now actually sleep tonight now......

Welcome Elise.

Magnex gear is usually quite well screwed together, only person I know from this community who had one was Nick Rossi...on an S1...which then ended up on Paul Gibson's S1...which was then sold on to Iain Thomas...both of the last two generally lurk around here so hopefully they might comment!

But for S2s, I guess it's a whole new matter entirely :-)

I also have an S1, so am unable to offer much more wisdom.

Really?? Even a brand new one??

Other half works for Porsche (sales) and the valeting team there had advised the chamois......

It came up a treat and the Superguard has made it bling!

Thanks for the tip though

Never had a problem with a chamois...real or synthetic...provided properly rinsed and, if dropped, cleaned of grit before re-applying (doh!)

So what's superguard then?

Hey Elise,

Glad you found your way onto Scottishelises :) I'm sure you'll love the car even if it isn't quite as lovely as mine ;) As for sports exhaust I have a quicksilver on mine, which seems like a good compromise between far too noisy and too mundane.
Cheers,
Ross

Andy G - yip! That's the one!

(He's a bit tall for the Elise! Knees up at his neck :D :D )

And Ross! Our Internet paths cross yet again :D

Took a half day today and put about 100 more miles on the car! Glorious day!
