Holly,

Welcome. Always nice to involve Vauxhall drivers, they only get a tiny amount of abuse here but Lotus and Vauxhall go back a long way so there's good DNA there :-)

I had 3 Vauxhalls in my time - 2 Novas and a Tigra. Some may say I am actually a girl bursting to get out of a bloke's body, but I prefer to think I a just in touch with my feminine side!

I sold my Tigra to buy my Elise 9 years ago, almost to the day in fact, and never looked back. Except when Tut was following me round KH, obviously.

So look after that Corsa and save hard, and you could find yourself in a proper sports car in no time - a decent S1 Elise can be had for £7k if you know what you are looking for. And plenty on this forum will be able to keep you right.

As for keeping those wheels clean...a good polish up with Autoglym wheel polish will help the brake dust run off a bit easier 8)

I've a 4 Vauxhall history (Chevette, Ascona, Cavalier, Manta) although technically half of them are Opels.

The Chevettte's bad, but at least 3/4 of mine are RWD, but Campbell a Tigra!!! I'd never have guessed.

Yeah sorry about that. I really wanted a Calibra but couldn't afford one. Oh, is that worse? Sorry. Actually, I wanted to upgrade from my Nova SRi to a GSi but couldn't afford it, then when the Corsa came out I thought "yuk, that's quite ugly", then the Tigra arrived and yes it was not to all tastes but I have to say it was a bloody good car all round. Had to withstand a fair amount of hairdresser jokes but I've no regrets...its very strong resale value was what enabled me to buy into Elise ownership, so there was logic in there after all :-)

LOL!

The most significant mods I made to mine were in the ICE dept. CD player, and 6x9 speakers set into a custom parcel shelf (note - the Tigra didn't come with a parcel shelf, just a mesh cover...we had fun making that, I can tell you!).

Oh and an extra cig lighter socket to plug my tongs into ;-)
