Well I've been lurking around here for a wee while. Traditionally a BMW pervert, I had a frolic with Stuttgart; got well and truly raped; went back to a BMW; and now I'm bored and in need of somthing fast and fun - most likely from Hethel.
Alas, until these tumultous times sort themselves out, I must stick with what I've got, but that gives me plenty of time to do some homework.
Cheers,
Simon

Hello Pretender and welcome!
S1 values see to have broadly bottomed out, so if/when you have £7k to throw at something, you might realistically be able to enjoy one for a "season" and walk away none the poorer *
* other than the odd maintenance item

Thanks Campbell.
I'm still an //M devotee, so the stable will need to make room for one. Thusly* the plan is to punt the zed and buy an E39 M5 and a nice wee Elise (haven't decided which yet) with the proceeds.
I want to spend more time on track and get into sprinting etc, so I guess I want quite a hardcore little machine for the task; but at the same time I still need an autobahn terrorist/GT for which the venerable old M5 should do the job nicely.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting into the Lotus 'scene'** and getting to know some of you lot.
Cheers,
Simon
*is that a word?
**That sounded terribly gay. I'm sorry.

Simon

rightly or wrongly you'll find a lot of "gay" chatter here ... but mostly just chatter!
we cater for all sorts in SE...and just as well too, as you will gradually discover
there are lots of buying advice threads, just do a bit of searching first because a lot of your questions are already probably answered...and if not, they will be pretty swiftly once you post, I reckon
Campbell
PS - M5 and Elise...nice combo

Time for a new thread to accomodate new models and remove duplicate entries?

Feel free!
A fresh poll would be fun...particularly looking at any deltas on 2009...
