Whilst I agree, remind me, how did your chat about Scandal go yesterday?

Hi all,

Not been on here for a while, was away offshore for over 7 weeks and been busy since got back. Been out quite alot in the exige over last few weeks and its so much fun to drive, any excuse to go out in it and im away :D .

Went away for a run in it today around Loch Lomond and then to Inverarey. Took a couple of pics of the car (badly in need of a wash, again).

Also a couple of pics from the garage when I got it.

Decided i need to get myself an exhaust some time soon for it, could do with a more entertaining sound track, whats the recomendations for an exige s? was looking at the 2bular exhausts, these seem to be quite popular?

I have the Lotus sports exhaust. I've been told its the best sounding S on the track many times. Over run sounds great.

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

Modena thanks for the reply,

Is that a stage 2 exhaust and are these quite loud? Not too concerned about the loudness myself but prob plan to start doing the odd track day now and again. Have you been okay for the db ratings? Also I take it you can only get the Lotus sport exhausts from the Lotus dealers?

Cheers, Kevin.

For the S, there is no stage 1 or 2 but just one sports exhaust. Its loud and sounds great. If it is your only car, it may be too loud.

At Knockhill there is no problems with the noise but Croft might be a different story......

You can get it from a Lotus dealer. You may get it through ebay or psitonheads if you are lucky.

Good luck and look forward to seeing you at KH soon.

Mass, mine is quoted as "Level 1 Sport exhaust".
Pretty quiet tbh, I think 96db static last time. No problem on long trips - S/C wine is louder with the TRD airbox.

hello,

The S, or at least the club racer is fitted with the Lotus stage 3 exhaust, part No LOTAC05450.

Designed for S2 S/C toyota exige.

You can find it in the Lotus Sport parts brochure.

strange. Also got the CR. Was told by the Lotus dealer that Lotus only have 1 sports and 1 standard exhauts for the S. Stage 1 and 2 are for the NA cars though some dealers have fitted stage 2 on the S by error.....
