I AM VERY NEW HERE

Post by jj » Wed Apr 20, 2005 12:36 pm

Hello,

registered, and now posting within 5 mins. Im new.

Just bought a silver 2000 S1, with hardtop, pick it up tomorrow.

Posted the same thing on the yahoo but I prefer these boards so will be here regularly.

Im extremely excited, but have to try and fix the drivers door glass as it is broken..... so will start a topic in technical for that!

:welcome

Enjoy the car, where abouts are you?

Like I said on the Yahoo group, it's quite quiet here sometimes as not everyone on the group wants to use this. If you have any urgent questions, it's usually worth posting on the Yahoo group too.

Why would anyone not want to use a phpBB? It is so much easier. They yahoo thing is guff!

I live in Kilmacolm, work in Glasgow and have a girlfriend at Uni in Edinburgh, so I get around (to say the least!).

Give it time, I am sure it will get busier round here.

We're hoping it will get busier. A lot of the people on the Yahoo group don't browse but use it as a mailing list so they don't want to move here because they lose that option.

Will you track or go on runs?

Runs, yes, track probably not at the moment.

Tracking will probably stretch the budget too far; its an expensive game at my age buying cars insurers dont like!

...nothing but a number.

Turned 22 a few weeks ago. Insurance quotes have gone from OK to ridiculous (like over 3k ridiculous).

Dont want the car to eat up all the dollarinos, tracking looks expensive on parts.

But it does look fun...

OK im with you,

nah the 3k quotes were the ridiculous ones

The 646 is only a couple of hundred more than what I was paying on the smart (which is a whole 14 Insurance Groups lower than the Elise!).
