Hello??

Post by Tom » Mon Mar 06, 2006 6:11 pm

Hi Everyone,

I've met a few of you over the past few weeks, and after EF on Sat., I have have well and truly been bitten by the bug.
I was the guy in the black exige that actually knows how to drive it!!

Thanks Gordon for the pax. First time in an S1, and couldn't believe it. (Obviously the skill of the driver makes a huge difference- in my hands it'd probably be in a fence!!) Yes the grin is still there. :D I want one....hmm..

Had a few bevvies after w. Ed and Andy(nice wheels by the way-and cheers for the pax). Managed to escape before becoming too ruined.

Anyway, good to meet all the rest of you guys, and hopefully I'll be seeing a bit more of you all in the future (maybe even in my own car  !!). Until then I'll be in the wee black runaround  with my able co-pilot.

Cheers,

Tom.

Hi Tom

Its merely a matter of time no surely till your S1 hits the streets :D

You'll need to get a new lid for the next trackday so you don't have to squeeze in to that white thing :P

Think you may have left at the right time on Saturday. I'm still shattered.

:welcome :cheers

Sweet car Andy.

i am feeling at the mo. that a car thats had that much done to it is an accident waiting to happen. Having been in Gordons standard car, it goes like siht off a stick.

Can anyone help on this? The car in the link above has had a rebuild, but once its gone, and with that many mods, will it go again? The K series isn't the most bulletproof of engines and I'm thinking I'd like a standard car.

What you all reckon?? :?

I think you should convince Ed to swap cars with me for a while ..... then you could have a shot of a std S1 as often as you want.....

Hi Tom,

Good to see you again at EF :D

I hear what you're saying about getting a standard car, that's the same reason I got one! However, I'm now discovering that I want a bit more oomph, and it costs a fair bit when you add up the cost of exhaust, hurricane induction and better tyres, so its worth thinking about getting one with those mods already. Also, who's to say that a car on a forecourt without induction and exhaust hadn't just had them stripped out two weeks earlier to make the car more sellable? I learn't that much from JJ!

All in all, I guess I'm offering no advice at all, but giving you more things to think about

Best of luck mate, and feel free to grab a few pax laps from a noob like me next time I'm out :D

Cheers,

Greg
