SURFERROSA IN FALKIRK

Thought I'd say a big hello to the Forum.
I recently carried out a 2-day paint correction detail on a member's Exige. I carried out similar extensive work on his neighbours' nice cars too.
Looks like a nice Forum with some fine taste in cars TBH!! The Exige grew on me over the 2 days and by the end of it I was mesmerised by it!
Great forum.
Thanks,
JOHN

Welcome along
Quite a (worrying

)number of members here seem to dabble in the black art of polishing. As you may have guessed, there's no requirement for you to own a lotus, nor to be scottish to participate in the forum

No doubt see you around in due course
Greg

Cheers Greg. You're right, I don't own a Lotus! (A4 instead). I am Scottish however. I'm sorry to hear that the black art of polishing is worrying to you. Worrying to me, and increasingly so to discerning car owners (Lotus owners??), is the black art of dealership vandalism of clearcoats. So far, I haven't seen any of them joining the forum to let you all know why and how they manage to do it. Hopefully my main post in the Car Care section has shown the level of 'colour robbing' a dealership put into a new Exige. And I don't mean minor swirls - some were more like key scratches that some 10-year old daily driver's don't have! Hopefully I have shown the condition that the car should have been sold in.
I'm not here to hijack the forum. I've recently learned a wee bit about Lotus and I'd like to learn a bit more. Hopefully I can add something in my own little way - just like forum mechanics, photographers, ICT pros and so on. Swirl Removal and Paint Rejuvenation can have its place too?
Thanks for the welcome from the others too.
Neil72- You have spotted the musical connection! - you are supremely cultured!
Thanks again.

Another Pilgrim rears their head! Thanks Bert.
I'm off down your way to the outlaws in Kilmacolm on Saturday and The Port on Sunday. I do like my trips down there. I used to do all my early cycling down there, over the backroads and back down to sea level before heading along to the Bay.
Cheers
