Hey,

have been viewing this great forum for a couple of months now..... and finally took the plunge and bought a 03 Silver 111s around two months ago. Car was purchased in Birmingham from a traffic cop of all people!! car had only done 19k, with a FLSH - so all in all I am delighted with it, and haven been well and truly bit by the lotus bug

It has been great reading through this forum, and I feel that I have gained a whole lot of knowledge on Lotus ownership..... and realised that a lot of the funny noises that come from the car seem to be normal.... as was steam belching from the radiator after some rain..... it was fair to say I panicked whilst sitting at the lights with steam everywhere!

hope to meet up for some runs... and build myself up for a few track days... after all that’s why I bought the Lotus

Sounds like a nice car, I think the steam thing catches everyone out the first time! Hopefully see you at Knockhill sometime soon - there's a trackday on the 28th

Yes - I was caught out by the steam...... when it happened there was a car full of lovely blonde girls, sitting next to me at the lights, laughing.... oh the embarrassment

I actually live at the gyle - although I grow up in clerwood place, small world. I think I may have seen your exige around.... very shiny, very nice!
