cloggie from holland on a mission

Post by marten_exige » Thu Aug 28, 2008 10:20 pm

Hi,

i'm Marten, currently owning a S1 Exige formerly owned by Chris Dunbar
last november brought the car from the UK to Holland as S1 Exiges in Holland are pretty rare and therefore expensive and so this was for me the only way to get a car like this and be able to afford it

there's now 8 S1 Exiges in Holland to give you an idea, so it's pretty exclusive as well, to throw a party for all owners doesn't have to be expensive really

must say absolutely lovin the Exige to bits

but now want to try to get the history of the car and found out the car also used to belong to Chris "Doc" Dunbar previously livin in ANGUS
therefore tryin to get in contact with Chris to find out if he has any old bills, invoices etc etc to get as much of the original documents as possible, but unfortunately Chris no longer lives on the same Adress

so if anyone can give me a hand in helpin' would very much apreciate it

many thanks, Marten

Not a name I recognise...

Might be worth posting something in the general section in case some of the longer serving members don't read newbies any more (shame on 'em ;))

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

thnx guys,

no worries, it probably is lookin for a needle in the haystack, but he who never tries, doesn't succeed.... or something like that :D

tried exiges.com, no luck there, so someone there suggested the scottish forum

and as it's always nice to get in contact with fellow enthousiasts why not give it a shot

so is the weather gonna be any good in Scotland for the weekend

over here it's gonna be dry and sunny, unfortunately, my car is standing on blocks as I really wanted to do some maintenance, which turned out to be a major overhaul, at least in the money department

Marten

If it is yellow then it would have been Chris Dunbar's, nickname thedoctor.

He bought it around June 2005 and took it to Le Mans. I think some of our guys went that year, so may have met him.

I will dig out his e-mail address for you.

Marten

He only ever posted once on SELOC, and though I have pm'd him, the liklehood is that he will not read it.

However I will try Bob van M and Yvo and see if they know him.
