Back after a 7 year absence
Back after a 7 year absence
Hiya, sold my 99T Elise S1 in Azure Blue to Murray Motors in Edinburgh about 7 years ago. Went back to see Graeme on Saturday and put a deposit down on a mint condition S2. It's an 03 plate Tourer in Cobalt Blue (with aircon) having covered just 10,600 miles and is in showroom condition. New tyres, brakes and a recent service with belt change. Also has a hard top which may come in use
After various cars including a TT, 2 Renaultsport Meganes and a Clio 197 R27 it will be nice to get back behind the wheel of a Lotus. Forgot how low these cars are until my 6 yr old daughter came into the showroom and was taller than all the cars in there! Stay in Livingston so hope to see fellow Lotus drivers out & about and plan on going to Knockhill this year. Any advice on insurance would be greatly appreciated as this is a 3rd car so unsure how the No Claims business works. I'm currently with Esure. Many thanks.

Re: Back after a 7 year absence
Quite a few people on here from Livingston/West Lothian so sure you will soon see a few around.
We have an insurance section, so have a look on there for some companies we use and give them a try. Names like CCI, Aon, Heritage etc. Mine's a 3rd car too and I found that as I had my other two cars with the same insurer and had been with them for a few years, they mirrored my NCB. As long as you don't have any mods (general companies like Esure don't seem to like them) your current insurance co may be your best bet for your first year. That's what I found gave me the best deal in first yeat of ownership.
