Falkirk Newbie

Post by cags588 » Tue Oct 13, 2009 3:51 pm

Hi All,

Thought I would sign up to SE and keep tabs on the Elise fraternity, in particular Alan who owns the Burnt Orange S1. ( Oh Yeah he's my son). It may be easier to talk to him here, he's so busy  Hope this is OK.

Although I don't own one, I have been a terrified passenger many times, and I'm sure will be again  , However you never know, there has been some discussion going on already about me buying one, but I think some flexing excercises would be in order first so that I don't look so daft getting in and out!!

Looking forward to following the topics and discussions where I can, I'm not up on all of the technical aspects of this electronic world, I'm a old school carb man but learning all the time .

Cheers
Colin Gourlay

Good stuff - wouldn't worry overly about getting in and out of them- look at Tut; he has optionally working legs most of the time and it doesn't seem to stop him

Welcome along to Scottish_Elises Colin, join the growing multi family members, father-son-daughter in law, father-son-son-daughter in my case, with more on the way as they all get older.

Alan and Jen are both well established on here now, and he has already done a fair bit of work on my car for me. He has made a lovely job of his Elise, he was over last week to show it to me, so now looking forward to getting on track with him to see if he can get as many wheels in the air as he did with the Clio.

:welcome Along Dad,

Jeez, whole Family is on here now.

My Dad actually helped me put the Engine in the Elise Along with Chris (Big Ginger B*stard or Cheez). When I say helped, they lifted it in whilst i pointed at where it should go. They struggled a bit but got there in the end.

Tut - Need to arrange a Pax ride in N3 for Pops at next Knock Hill Session, Bring a whole new meaning to the word scared :D .

Its getting harder and harder to get a good S1, so best get cracking
