Been having a wee nosey around coz I'm thinking about switching cars. I've been building classic minis for a few years and engine swaps for the last three. I've got a wee Vtec mini pickup just now (rollered at 175 at the weekend
) Generally, I've been messing about with older cars for the last twenty-odd years and getting a bit fed up with chasing rust really. I like something a wee bit different so maybe an elise? Forum looks nice n freindly too which i like. I'm on a couple of bike ones (got a fireblade), but too many rude bumz on there. Would some of you mind answering a few questions for me please. I've never been in, let alone driven, an Elise so not sure if I'll like them........1. It should be quick!
2. How is the handling?
3. Generally how are they constructed and from what materials.
4. What's insurance like (I'm 40 BTW and it can be on limited milage as it'll be an occasional car). Having said that, I had a Classic mini with a 208bhp vauxhall redtop in it last year and the bike never turned a wheel all summer. (could be a bike for sale soon
)5. Are there any garages other than official lotus guys who maintain them or is that a no-no?
7. When did they stop using the K series ?

so should manage to get it sold ok. I've got all the original parts to return it to standard A-series for the purists if i have to.
