Met a good number of you on Frolic before.
Its been suggested by a few of you (OK mainly the existing Kentish members - Ed / Tom that's you) that this is the place for me as I don't have an Elise and I'm not from Scotland.
Looking forward to seeing if Andy had the cam running when he kindly showed me how to rearrange the cones at Pau this year

Thanks for the welcome all
Yep made it out alive - thanks to Dave for going at something more my speed rather than Neil and your pace
Had to pull a load of road gravel out of the car as it got filled with the stuff after following you lot through some quality French road repairs though...
Was the second day in the Pyrenees as good as the first?

Neil is bonkers, without a doubt. What's worse, I suspect he's only giving it 20% most of the time

It was a fabulous run though, was it not! Even the impromptu conference with those nice Spanish policemen and the slow coach bikers didn't spoil it the bonus 100-odd miles we took through Spain when the road from the Col d'Aubisque to the Col de Soulor was closed.

Pulled a ton of it out from the front clam when we changed the rad

Was a total bonus that evening, actually - opposite the somewhat stroppy Hotel Lourdes we discovered an Indian/Sri Lankan restaurant - I got the distinct impression we were their only customers for the evening as they turned on the lights when we walked in an 5 minutes later the whole family appeared from somewhere. Anyway the food was nice, the beer was cheap and the people running it were really friendly.
The next day was almost as good as the first - the re-run of the Tourmalet and Aspin was brilliant, but towards the end of the loop we had to cut some of the route off as the road we thought we would take was either non-existent or a gravel road. However, on the plus side we arrived in Toulouse in time for a few beers in the local gay bar
Cheers,
Robin
