hello

Post by dirkpitt » Wed Jul 21, 2010 1:36 pm

hi everyone, a new kid on the block here....and a fairly new lotus owner, to boot.

i have moved up to bonnie glasgow from south wales to work and have only been here around 6 months, while i have been here, i have gone and bought a new toy; a graphite grey exige S2 N/A 2005 tourer and you may of spotted me stuck in the evening traffic on the express way or M8 in glasgow or dodging all the pot holes!.......if not, na matter, but give us a toot, if you do.

anyways.......i would just like to introduce myself and get to know the lotus community up here, and hopefully, go on some road trips and see some fellow cars and people and share some stories. also, share some tech info on the maintains and possible mods of these purebred machines.
i have clocked a few miles around the area, while here...such as the fort william run and over to loch sween, oban etc....would like to venture further and see the sights, weather permitting.

best regards,

leigh :)

The Amp 3 trackday and BBQ on the 6th August at Knockhill would be a good 'deep end' introduction to a lot of people on here :thumbsup

Hi Leigh,

Keep your eye on Meets, where some of our more far-flung trips to the Isles and the north-west Highlands are usually announced and arranged.

Couple of possibilities coming up in the next couple of months.

Welcome along. Ironically I find myself nipping down to South Wales periodically for work. Think I prefer living here :-)

As Campbell said, keep your eyes on the meets; plenty of Glasgow stuff on the go.

Hi, and welcome.

Usually a few of the biggish meets/trackday events going on at this time of year. Events local to Glasgow are less common but someone posted up arrangements for one recently - it's next week, I think.

You not joking about the potholes! I was over in Glasgow yesterday and my God the roads there are a mess! Top of woodlands Rd onto Uni Ave is like off roading! and the city center is not much better...

Bridgend and St Mellons. And actually I have seen more of Glasgow than I might care to (!) but our wee corner of West Lothian is just about bearable ;-)

Pics upload I can't help with, but if you have images hosted elsewhere eg Picasa, Photobucket, Flickr, etc, then you can link to them easily using the IMG tag. There is some basic PHPBB help on the forum pages I think.

The complete guide to attaching pics here: http://www.scottishelises.com/phpbb/vie ... f=9&t=1350

And wrt the windows (side, I assume) they can be adjusted, worth an ask in the "Technical" section for in-depth answers.
