Hi! from Australia.

Post by FLY » Mon Sep 20, 2010 11:30 am

Hi guys/gals,

My name is John, I'm 26 from Sydney Australia. I was reffered to your lovely forum by Stewart' who was recently selling his Chrome Orange Exige. I'm currently in the process of looking for a Chrome Orange Exige. There arn't many used exiges for sale in Australia let alone in Chrome Orange so I have decided to search abroad. So just keeping an eye out on pistonheads and forums at this stage. Also keen to learn a few things here and there!

At the moment I own a BMW E46 M3, which has been an excellent car but it doesnt offer the thrill that a lotus would. Previous to that I had a Black R34 GTR. I love cars and enjoy the occasional track day. I can post up some pics if guys would like to have a look.

Cheers

John

Hi John, welcome to Scottish_Elises. Have you joined Aussieelises yet, http://www.aussieelises.com as they are our equivalent down under. Some old friends from here moved over a few years ago and set up the site. Ashton Roskill is Administrator, and there was also Guy Cooper and Doc.

You will get lots of help and info on there, and they look to have 800 active members.

Cheers

Hi!

Aus is presumably an expensive place to ship a car from the UK...perhaps someone on here might offer to drive it down to you instead...although it might have worn out by the time it reaches you :-)

Stay tuned if you want some background etc, there are usually some knowledgeable people on here from time to time.

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

Cheers for the warm welcome guys.

I'm already a member on the Aussie Elise forum. Great little forum, but sometimes not much activity.

As requested here are some pictures of the GTR. Some pics are after the new owner had taken delivery of it, I have also thrown in some pics of my previous Evo 8 GSR.
